Guided winter backcountry hut trips in the Sierra Nevada. Our hut is located at the North Lake trailhead in the Inyo National Forest, outside of Bishop, California. In 2024 we will be running avalanche courses as well as guided ski trips out of our hut.
Our hut is a Weatherport structure 14×20 feet in size. Constructed of a wood floor and a plasticized fabric stretched over a steel frame, with a wood stove to keep us warm. The hut sleeps nine, and we can pitch tents outside for privacy or larger group sizes.
